Characteristics of Driving Lessons for Foreigners
01Comprehensive Support by Multilingual Staff (From enrollment procedures to daily training— no language barriers)
We eliminate concerns such as “the enrollment process seems complicated” or “I’m worried about understanding the instructor’s guidance.” From administrative procedures at reception to daily consultations about your training, our multilingual staff provide attentive and personalized support.
For companies as well, training progresses smoothly without the stress of language barriers, allowing you to entrust the process us with confidence.
02Multilingual Learning Materials and Online Theory Classes
To help you fully understand Japan’s traffic rules, we provide theory textbooks in three languages. In addition, theory classes can be taken online, with subtitles available in your native language.
You can study anytime, anywhere, and as many time as needed, learning difficult technical terms in a language you understand. This significantly improves both learning speed and knowledge retention.
By addressing each individual’s “I don’t understand,” we help develop safe drivers who can follow traffic rules—meeting the expectations of companies as well.
03In-car Interpreter Support for Practical Training (Stay focused on driving with interpretation from the back seat)
During on-course and on-road training, an interpreter can accompany you in the back seat when needed. They will accurately convey the instructor’s detailed advice and real-time instructions on the spot.
By removing language barriers, you can develop safer and more precise driving skills. This support helps prevent delays in skill acquisition and ensures steady progress step by step.
04Support for the Provisional License Written Test (Overcome the first major hurdle with exams available in your native language)
The provisional license written test is the first major challenge in obtaining a driver’s license. At our school, we provide thorough preparation in Vietnamese, English and Indonesia.
We create an environment where you can fully demonstrate your knowledge and abilities without being limited by language barriers. Whether you want to get your license as quickly as possible or prefer to take a more gradual approach, you can take the exam with confidence and peace of mind.

Process from Starting Lessons to Obtaining a Driver’s License
01Start of Training
First, you will take the Stage 1 aptitude test and begin your lessons.
02Provisional License
After completing Stage 1 lesson, you must pass the practical completion test and the provisional license written test. You will then be eligible to proceed to Stage 2 (on-road driving lessons.)
03Licensing Center
After graduation, you will take the written test at the driver’s license examination center in the area where you are registered as a resident.
If you pass, your driver’s license will be issued.
If you hold a valid driver’s license issued outside Japan and wish to obtain a Japanese driver’s license, you must apply for a license conversion at the Driver’s License Examination Center.
A skill test is required for this process. Yonago Driving School offers driving lessons to support applicants undergoing Foreign license Conversion.
